Houston Area Kroger "Honoring Our Heroes" Free BBQ Lunch

In honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11,Kroger is hosting “Honoring Our Heroes” celebrations for emergency services personnel and active military at select stores across greater Houston to salute their daily heroic acts of service and efforts to protect the community.

Emergency services personnel and active military are invited to join the festivities taking place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, September 9. Attendees will get to enjoy a free BBQ meal and beverage.

In addition to the cookouts, emergency services personnel and active military will be given a 10% discount on Kroger brand products for the weekend – Friday, September 9, thru Sunday, September 11 – at all 100+ Kroger stores in greater Houston. To receive the discount, participants must show a valid form of ID or be in uniform.

At 8:46 a.m. on Sunday,September 11, Kroger will host a citywide moment of silence to honor the fallen heroes of the national tragedy.
