Ford recalls more than 570,000 vehicles for 2 separate issues

Ford Motor Co. will recall more than 570,000 vehicles worldwide due to separate issues dealing with engine fires and doors unexpectedly flying open. 

In the first, the Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker will recall 230,000 vehicles with 1.6-liter GTDI engines due to a rise of under-the-hood fires. The company reports in a news release it is aware of 29 North American fires related to the recall, but no injuries.
