March 20th First Day of Spring Equinox

Sunday March 20th, 2011 marks the first day of Spring, the Vernal Equinox. An Equinox happens twice a year, in March and in September. It's when the center of the Sun crosses directly over Earth's equator. Many cultures around the world celebrate these Equinox's as special occasions.
