An investigation has begun when thousands of dead prawns washed ashore on a beach in Chile. Along with the dead prawns were hundreds of dead crabs that washed up on a beach in Coronel City, which is located just 330 miles from the capital, Santiago.
There has been much talk and rumors about the deaths of this sea life but fishermen has suggested that the deaths could possibly be caused from the local power stations that are using seawater as a cooling agent. The firms of these local power stations have yet to comment on this issue.
Experts are starting to look into the water temperature, oxygen levels and possibly other factors that might lead to details of these deaths.
