Winning Powerball Numbers Drawn for $320 Million Jackpot on August 15th

These are the winning numbers that were selected at 11 p.m. Wednesday: 6, 27, 46, 51 and 56. The Powerball drawn was 21.

Tonight's top jackpot prize is valued at a whopping $320 million — or about $213 million for players who chose the cash option, because no lottery players have matched all the winning numbers during the past seven weeks.

This was the fourth largest jackpot in Powerball history, a fact that helped drive up the volume of ticket sales, lottery officials said.

There has been no big jackpot winner since June 23, when a couple from Seymour, Conn., won $60 million for matching all six Powerball numbers.

For the last drawing, Saturday night, five tickets sold across the nation — including one from New Jersey matched the five regular numbers, but not the Powerball. Those tickets are worth $1 million apiece before taxes.

Tickets sold in the Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania also won $1 million Saturday night.


Powerball is played in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, along with 40 other states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
